What are the PDF files?

Does WordPress support PDF?
Yes, WordPress supports PDFs. You can upload a PDF to your WordPress site in a few different ways. The easiest way is to simply drag and drop the PDF into the Media Library.
How to upload PDF files in WordPress?
To upload a PDF file to your WordPress site, you will need to login to your WordPress Dashboard.
- Once you are logged in, go to Media > Add New from the left sidebar or you can add PDF via WordPress block.
- You can then select the PDF file from your computer and click on the Open button.
After the PDF file has been selected, it will be uploaded to your WordPress site and you will see a progress bar indicating the progress of the upload. Once the upload is completed, you will see a thumbnail of the PDF file as well as some basic information about the file such as its title, author, and date.
You can now edit the title, description, and other fields for the PDF file if you wish. Once you are satisfied with your changes, click on the Update File button to save your changes. Your PDF file is now successfully uploaded to your WordPress site.
How to add PDF to post or Page via WordPress block
Once the PDF is uploaded, you can insert it into your post or page by clicking the Insert into post button. By default, WordPress will display the PDF as an attachment and if you prefer, you can embed PDFs in your posts and pages.
In the embedded PDF file, the Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons allow you to zoom in and out on the image and switch between pages.
How to embed PDF in WordPress via code
PDF Embedding with Object
One solution is to place the following object codes on your web page. In some cases, these codes may not be supported. When you make this code work on unsupported devices, the following paragraph can be used to indicate that the PDF embed code is not working. You can change the paragraph as you like, there is also a Download PDF link in the paragraph that allows you to download the pdf file.

PDF Embedding with Embed
Embed has the same use case as Object. However, if the browser does not support PDF display, there is no message.

PDF Embedding with iFrame
The code with a wider range of uses is iFrame. It can also display a message that it does not support it.
